Senior Business Analyst (Remote, Full-time Position)

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring business requirements and customer validated input are properly incorporated into the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of various software products and features designed for estate planners and other legal professionals. The Senior Business Analyst ensures that WealthCounsel SaaS products and features support the company's overall strategies and objectives throughout its lifecycle.

Position Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with business staff to thoroughly understand the needs that must be supported by the products and technology

  • Maintains an awareness of the competitive market to observe trends and emerging technology, conducts market research and analysis as needed

  • Provides recommendations regarding the evolution of the system and products

  • Responds to inquiries and provides advice regarding current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs

  • Identifies, creates and facilitates process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level

  • Analyzes and synthesizes business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes

  • Develops and communicates detailed technical requirements based on internal and external input and analysis

  • Works with the product architect to evaluate, identify, and approve appropriate technology platforms and tools for building and delivery of content to the platform

  • Coordinates with the development team to prioritize and implement software changes

  • Provides necessary guidance to testers during the QA process to ensure that requirements are met and components are ready for delivery

  • Performs product demos to stakeholders (including management, staff, and customers)

  • Participates in and oversees customer-feedback activities such as focus groups and beta programs

  • Participates in multiple phases of company-wide projects

Position Requirements

  • At least 5-7 years of experience with generating requirements for medium to large projects

  • Strong experience in user testing and project management

  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams

  • Strong team player with ability to negotiate and settle differences quickly and peacefully

  • Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems

  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail

  • Ability to adapt to change

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills

  • Experience in software UX and feature design is desirable

  • Familiarity with document assembly software is highly desirable

  • Experience in either the legal, legal software and/or legal publishing industries is desirable
