Job Summary:

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for defining the purpose and future direction of WealthCounsel products based on an understanding of customer needs and the competitive landscape, as well as in support of the company’s overall strategies and objectives.  The Senior Product Manager will outline the product roadmap, gather and prioritize requirements for necessary features, and work with the UI/UX, engineering and QA teams to ensure the successful delivery and maintenance of WealthCounsel products throughout the product lifecycle.

As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for the following:

  • Collaborate with business staff to thoroughly understand the needs that must be supported by the products and technology
  • Work with the stakeholders and product owners to build product roadmaps
  • Maintain an awareness of the competitive market to observe trends and emerging technology, conducts market research and analysis as needed
  • Provide recommendations regarding the evolution of the system and products 
  • Respond to inquiries and provide advice regarding current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs
  • Analyze and synthesize business requirements to develop and document detailed technical requirements
  • Communicate product requirements to UI/UX team to drive designs and software behavior
  • Outline product features and phases in line with roadmap to communicate dependencies and timeline to engineering
  • Coordinate with the engineering team to prioritize and implement software changes
  • Provide necessary guidance to the QA team to ensure that requirements are met and components are ready for delivery
  • Perform product demonstrations to stakeholders (including management, staff and customers)
  • Set and monitor goals for defined product success metrics
  • Lead the design and institution of a feedback handling process in cooperation with operational teams
  • Synthesize feedback and product metrics to generate and test hypotheses for WealthCounsel products
  • Additional responsibilities as needed

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful in this role:

  • 5-10 years in product related roles for software products
  • Strong experience in user testing and project management
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented and organized with solid analytical skills
  • Strong team player with ability to negotiate and settle differences quickly and peacefully
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills across varied audiences
  • Experience in software UX and feature design
  • Experience analyzing trends and market developments
  • Ability to define, monitor and analyze product success metrics
  • Strong intuition for and communication of customer experience strategy
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, complexity and interdependencies in an organized and disciplined manner
  • Ability to break complex problems down and synthesize data to identify core problems and opportunities
  • Fluent in product development methodologies: agile, continuous improvement, lean, strategic prioritization systems
  • Experience with leveraging JIRA (or similar systems) to define and plan work as well as communicate key process health indicators and output forecasting
  • Some travel may be required

Salary:

The salary range listed reflects the total on target earnings for this position (base salary plus bonus potential).
